This new BGC pop-up bar serves one-of-a-kind menu every weekend

The Singleton Social Bar takes guests on an exciting whisky flavor discovery and dining experience

The Singleton is shaking things up with an all-new whisky and culinary experience where you can discover a world of flavor. Enter The Singleton Social Bar: a five-week pop-up bar that’s all about enjoying single malts in new and exciting ways while enjoying a culinary adventure in the company of great friends. The bar opened last April 15, 2023 and will be at at One Bonifacio High Street last April 15 until May 14, offering a selection of cocktails developed by world class bartenders and specialty dishes in partnership with today’s biggest food concepts and their chefs. "We're excited to bring The Singleton Social Bar to BGC, a one-of-a-kind pop-up to pave the way for people to discover single malts,” explains Merell Beltran, marketing manager for culture and advocacy for Diageo Philippines. “By collaborating with today’s best chefs and food concepts along with some of the best bartenders in the country to create memorable events every weekend, we're also allowing consumers to immerse themselves in a world of whisky flavors without the pressure of rules.”

The perfect single malt for delicious cocktails

 While single malts are often perceived as serious and intimidating, The Singleton dispels that notion by championing the idea that there are no fixed rules to enjoying whisky. At the social bar, guests can look forward to discovering a broad selection of whisky cocktails to try. The Singleton Plus Two, the brand’s flagship cocktail, blends the lusciously rich flavors of The Singleton with two mixers – one sparkling and one still – to create a delicious, fruity serve that’s easy to enjoy. Various Plus Two cocktails are available at the bar, such as The Singleton Orchard, Tropical, Riverside, and Hopscotch, each with its own blend, proving that there are numerous ways to enjoy whisky with flavors that suit any preference.

Launch weekend with Erwan Heussaff

 To celebrate the launch of the pop-up bar, the brand invited its guests to an unforgettable evening hosted by collaborator Erwan Heussaff. Serving specialties from Bolzico Beef, guests were able to enjoy their meal while creating their own Plus Two drinks at the bar using an array of mixers and garnishes. Erwan also took on a bartending shift at the bar, serving guests three exclusive cocktails that he developed and will be available throughout the pop-up's run. These bespoke cocktail include AOI Highball, made with honeyed Hojicha and soda water; Narra, mixed with equal parts whiskey, pandan juice and coconut soda; and Yoshi, a fruity and fresh mix of blended lemon wedges, mint and pineapple mash.   

Upcoming weekend events

 Experience a different kind of dinner party with your friends when you visit the bar each weekend. For the next four weekends, collaborators Taste and Tell Manila, Deli by Chele, La Kantina, and Mijo Comfort Food will be creating a limited-edition menu featuring specialty dishes that guests can savor along with bespoke cocktails the brands have each developed in partnership with award-winning bartenders from World Class Philippines. Catch these exciting partnerships come to life on these following days: ● Taste and Tell, April 21 to 22 ● Deli by Chele, April 28 to 29 ● La Kantina, May 5 to 6 ● Mijo, May 12 to 13 The Singleton Social Bar will be open to serve guests from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., from Wednesdays to Sundays, for guests 18 years old and above until May 14, 2023.
