Public warned against fake social media pages, groups pretending to be PGH

Filipinos were alerted against fake social media pages and groups pretending to be the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) or any of its offices. (University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital)
In an official statement, PGH expressed alarm over the proliferation of bogus pages pretending to be the hospital’s official account. The said pages and groups are airing false health claims and endorsing products. “We remind everyone to avoid supporting and viewing these pages [or] groups. To be updated on our services, simply visit our website [www.pgh.gov.ph](http://www.pgh.gov.ph),” said PGH. Earlier in March, PGH also warned against a fake social media page professing to be PGH’s Department of Dermatology. “Walang anumang produkto ang inaalok, ibinebenta o iniendorso ang [PGH]. Kaya’t paalala sa publiko, iwasan ang pagtangkilik sa mga paanyaya ng mga fake site gaya nito (PGH does not offer, sell, or endorse any products. So as a reminder to the public, avoid entertaining invitations from fake sites like this),” the state-run institution stressed.
