The eat-all-you-can feast will be held from May 19 to 22, the highlight week of the annual festival that celebrates the most famous product of the island—the Guimaras mangoes.

While mango supply was smaller compared to previous festival years, the Guimaras Provincial Agriculture Office assured there is still enough for visitors and locals.

The eat-all-you-can feast has been a fixture of the Manggahan Festival.

The national government has long pushed the marketability of Guimaras mangoes which are said to be one of the world’s sweetest varieties.

Provincial Agriculturist Alvin Nava said that the lower supply is due to the La Niña during the beginning of the production season.

“Mango growers have delayed the induction of their mango trees because it was still raining until the month of February,” said Nava.
