Police confiscated more than P1,300,000 worth of shabu from six suspects in two buy-bust operations conducted in the cities of Caloocan and Quezon on Sunday, April 23.
The Northern Police District (NPD) - District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) identified the suspects as Samsudin Rasid, 33; and Johaima Jamael, 33, both residents of Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City.
The DDEU launched the entrapment operation against the suspects at the corner of Asco Ville and NHA Road, Purok 7, Brgy. 185, Caloocan City at around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Recovered from them were more or less 200 grams of “shabu” worth P1,360,000, the buy-bust money, and a red Toyota Innova vehicle.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) also announced on Monday that four drug suspects were nabbed after they yielded P122,400 worth of alleged shabu in San Pascual Street, Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Maj. Hector Ortencio, QCPD-DDEU chief, identified the suspects as Rosario Domingo, 43; Ricky Delmonte, 35; Gian Carlo Lonzana, 30; and Reinalyn Domingo, 38, all residents of the said barangay.
The police carried out the buy-bust operation after receiving information from a concerned citizen about the suspects' illegal drug activities in the area.
Authorities also recovered a light brown purse, two cellphones, and the buy-bust money from the suspect.
All the suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
