Agency sets up additional memorial space for late K-pop idol Moonbin
The agency of the late K-pop star Moonbin, member of boy band ASTRO, has prepared an additional memorial space in Seoul where fans can visit to honor him.
According to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station, Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam, Seoul at about 8:10 p,m. on April 19 by his manager who reported it to the police. He was 25.

On April 24, Fantagio, ASTRO’s agency, announced the additional memorial space for Moonbin. “In order to prepare a comfortable space for the fans who have gone a long way, we have prepared an additional memorial space for Arohas [ASTRO fans] to visit at the Fantagio office building” in Gangnam, Seoul, it said. Fantagio said the memorial space for Moonbin can be visited until April 30.

“All letters and gifts left in the memorial space in front of the Fantagio office building will be carefully stored, and papers such as letters and notes will be periodically collected and stored during the operation period so that they can be kept intact without damage,” it said. It added, “When you arrive at the Fantagio office building, we have prepared a signboard with information staff for detailed location guidance, so please refer to it when visiting the memorial space. We express our deep gratitude to Arohas who are always with ASTRO.” Moonbin started in the entertainment industry as a child actor, appearing in the 2009 hit drama “Boys Over Flowers.” He was also a children’s wear model. He debuted in ASTRO in 2016 and was also a member of the ASTRO unit Moonbin & Sanha. Moonbin and Sanha held their “Diffusion” in Manila show last March 25.
