Shuttle bus driver killed in road crash

MALVAR, Batangas â€“ A 44-year-old driver died after the shuttle bus he was driving crashed into the center island in Barangay San Pioquinto here on Saturday morning, April 22. Police identified the victim as Edgardo Ocampo, a resident of Barangay Banlic, Cabuyao City, Laguna. Investigation said the bus was headed towards Lipa City at 4:30 a.m. when it suddenly rammed the center island. Responders extracted Ocampo from the vehicle and taken to the Metro Lipa Medical Center where he was pronounced dead due to severe injuries.
