Senior citizen drowns in Batangas

LOBO, Batangas – A 63-year-old man reportedly drowned while swimming in the sea of Barangay Masaguitsit in this town. Police identified the victim as Nestor Perez, a resident of Barangay Dagatan here. Perez’s body was seen by his relatives floating in the shallow portion of the sea at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 22. His relatives brought him the municipal hospital where he was declared dead at 2:40 a.m. Police learned that the victim went swimming alone prior to the discovery of his body.
