“The flood management programs in Alaminos City, Pangasinan known as the ‘Home of the Hundred Islands’ are essential to reduce risks from flood and channel migration hazards. It will also ensure the safety of locals and their livelihood,” Mendoza said.

“The project will secure the lives and properties of residents, and the areas near the river are better protected from possible water overflow during heavy rains. The impact of floodwater on physical infrastructure and the way of life of local residents is reduced by the existence of flood control structures,” Lorenzo said.
