Caraga police net P822,000 illegal drugs in one day

BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office-13 seized illegal drugs worth P821,848 in a one-day operation on Thursday, April 20, in the Caraga region. PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said 11 suspected drug personalities were arrested in Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the cities of Surigao and Cabadbaran. “Suspects were arrested through buy-bust operations and implementation of search warrants,” Labra said. “Suspects will face charges for violation of RA No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” he added. “These accomplishments bespeak of our incessant dedication to eradicate the illegal drug trade in the region keeping stride to continuously reinvigorate our anti-criminality campaign to secure a safer, drug-free Caraga.” Meanwhile, the PRO-13 apprehended the Top 3, 5, and 7 most wanted persons on the regional level on Friday, April 21. “I commend our hard-working personnel and the supportive local folks who made these police operations successful. We continue to leverage our efforts and resources in giving life to our motto: To serve and protect,” Labra said.
