CAMP DIEGO SILANG, La Union – Joint operatives from the police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) uprooted 7,995 fully-grown Marijuana plants in six locations with a total land area of 1,055-square meters in Sitio Upper Bas-ungan, Sapdaan, Santol, La Union on Friday, April 21.
Police said that the operating troops also uprooted 15,500 marijuana seedlings and recovered 20,000 marijuana seeds from the site.
Based on the Dangerous Drug Board (DDB), the estimated value of the destroyed marijuana plants was P2.719 million.
Police said that manhunt operations are ongoing against the cultivator identified as one Renato Celis, a resident of Sapdaan.
