SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The Department of Labor and Employment will conduct a job fair in four different venues in the Ilocos region on Labor Day.
DOLE-Region 1 Director Exequiel Ronie A. Guzman said they have pooled a total of 14,587 job vacancies from 116 employers as of April 18.
“This number is expected to increase in the coming days as we continue to intensify our call for employers to leverage on DOLE’s Labor Day jobs fairs in filling up their vacancies,” Guzman said.
This year’s job fair is anchored on the 2023 Labor Day theme “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”
The job fair will be held in at the Farmers Livelihood Development Center in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur; the PESO Multi-Purpose Hall, PESO Building, Lingayen, Pangasinan; Orbos Gym, Poblacion Norte, Santa Barbara, Pangasinan;
and Magic Mall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
Among the jobs to be offered are customer service representatives, production operators, collections specialists, retail and sales agents, sales representatives, and service crews.
Jobs will also be offered to nurses and other medical professionals, construction workers, tourism and hospitality industry workers,
and Information Technology professionals.
