Karla Estrada on Jolina Magdangal not sending her a message
Is Karla Estrada bothered that Jolina Magdangal didn't send her a congratulatory message after she was tapped as new host of TV5's "Face 2 Face?"
Melai Cantiveros, their co-host on "Magandang Buhay" did.
"Congrats sa new show mo. I-enjoy mo yung show. I'm sure marami kang ma-inspire na tao," Melai told Karla in a video greeting played during the press conference.
Asked if she's bothered about Jolina's seeming silence, Karla said, "Hindi ko yan naisip."
But I don't think na merong problema. I don't think may problemang personal."
Note that "Face 2 Face" marks Karla's return to television after she ended her five-year journey on “Magandang Buhay” late last year. She left the show some months prior after she decided to run for public office. Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Karla reiterated that all is well between her and her former network. "Definitely walang nasunog na tulay. In fact, sobrang happy sila. Even Tita Cory (Vidanes) sobrang happy kaya," she shared.
Karla believes it is a win-win situation for both parties. On the other hand, aside from Melai, Karla's other colleagues in showbiz like KaladKaren and Vina Morales sent her their well-wishes, same with House Speaker and Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez. Former hosts of "Face 2 Face" Amy Perez and Gelli de Belen also did the same. "Congratulations! Sigurado ako na marami kang matutulungan sa show na ito at marami ka ring matututunan," said Gelli to Karla. "I only did 'Face 2 Face' few months pero it was such a learning experience for me. It was also humbling. Marami akong realizations as I was doing 'Face 2 Face.' It's so interesting and it's so grounding. So cheers to you. I know you are going to do a good job. Enjoy!" As for Amy, Karla revealed she actually visited the latter at home and received generous advice. "Si Tyang Amy, inumpisahan niya ito. So sabi niya: 'Umpisahan mo yung bago. Umpisahan mong ikaw. So marami kaming pinag-usapan. But at the end of the day, tinapos naming masaya at tinapos naming maganda ang aming usapan bilang magka-mag-anak." It's her first time working in TV5. "I'm very excited. "Face 2 Face" will showcase the “barangay hall on air” starting May 1 on TV5 and on One PH, available on Cignal Ch. 1, SatLite Ch. 1, and Cignal Play. The 2023 reboot will present Mama Karla as host with comedian Alex Calleja as a mediator.
"Face 2 Face" gives a fresh take on the popular talk show’s format with its new mantra, “Isyu ay harapin, huwag palakihin” as it features real people with real problems and finds the best possible resolution to their conflicts. Ready to help resolve these issues are the show’s resident Trio Tagapayo – “Dr. Love” Bro. Jun Banaag representing the clergy, Atty. Lorna Kapunan giving legal advice, and Dr. Camille Garcia sharing her perspectives as a psychologist.
