LAGUNA – Authorities arrested an Indian and a Filipino in a buy-bust operation in San Pablo City on Thursday, April 20.

Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the Indian suspect as alias Sawaran and his Filipino cohort, alias Alexander.

San Pablo City Police Station’s (CPS) Drug Enforcement Unit collared the two after being caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer.

Confiscated during the sting were five plastic sachets of suspected “shabu” with an estimated street value of P13,500.

Both suspects are now under the custody of San Pablo CPS and are facing drug charges. The seized pieces of evidence, on the other hand, were submitted to the crime laboratory for forensic examination.

“Gusto rin po nating ipaabot sa ating mga kakabayan na walang pinipili ang ating batas, Pilipino ka man o dayuhan, kung nagkasala sa batas ay mananagot ka sa paglabag mo dito (We want to tell our fellowmen that the law excuses no one, whether you’re a Filipino or a foreigner, if you broke the law, you will face the consequences)," Laguna PPO director Col. Randy Glenn G. Silvio said in a statement.
