The super RHU in Sitio Halang na Gubat was built to serve patients from three resettlement sites in the municipality, namely Southville 10, Hauzville, and Eastshine Residences.

The Pasig City local government considers these three sites as off-city relocation sites for informal settler families (ISFs) who used to live in the danger zones in their city. The Tanay municipal government has also relocated some of their own residents in similar circumstances within those areas.

The RHU was established in accordance with the memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed by Sotto and Tanjuatco during the event.

The MOA seeks to further solidify the continued partnership between the local governments in providing basic services such as healthcare assistance to the Southville, Hauzville, and Eastshine relocatees.

Aside from the Tanay Municipal Health Office (MHO), residents of Pasig and Tanay can also avail of the super RHU’s services.

The structure and operation of the RHU facility was prepared by the Pasig government while the construction and other operations were handled by the Tanay government and the officials of Barangay Plaza Aldea.

Previously, the Pasig local government passed a resolution to continue supporting the beneficiaries of the resettlement program in Tanay, and financially assist the municipal government in supervising the sites.

Among the issues that residents in the resettlement areas are experiencing are the lack of water supplies, electricity, and social and health centers. The super RHU is expected to address the deficit of health and social welfare facilities in the relocation sites.

During Sotto’s courtesy visit to the town, he also met with the Tanay municipal council and other officials to discuss and explore initiatives, as well as exchange ideas to improve Pasig and Tanay relations.
