Mayor Laurence Marxlen de la Cruz recently turned over 13 brand-new Toyota service vehicles to the recipients in a ceremony at the municipal pavilion at the Panaad Park and Stadium here. All seven barangays in the town, as well as the Municipal Health Office (MHO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Department of Education (DepEd), and the police each received a Hi-Lux 4X4 pick-up. The municipal council and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) were each given a Hi-Ace GL Grandia van. This acquisition is funded by a loan from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) under the Assistance for Economic and Social Development for Local Government Units Financing Program. "This a very ambitious project for Don Salvador Benedicto,” De la Cruz said, adding that the town is in the stage of being “One Step Ahead.” “May these vehicles serve our fellow Salvadorians at its best all the time," the local chief executive said.
