GWM Philippines launches local lineup

Haval H6 HEV, Jolion SUVs, and GWM Cannon pickup


Luxuriant Automotive Group, distributors of GWM in the Philippines officially launched their initial lineup of models just a few days before their public debut at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Their models offer the Filipino buyer the latest in technology, safety, and performance, ideal for those looking for high-quality and reliable vehicles, according to GWM Philippines.

Ideal for the family, this third generation H6 compact SUV Hybrid is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine mated to a 175-Hp dedicated hybrid transmission which puts out a combined 240-Hp with 530-Nm of torque. This offers superior fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.

Along with GWM's global High Intelligence Modular Architecture, and Level 2 autonomous driving system, it’s also equipped with advanced active and passive safety features: like All Scenario Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collission Warning (FCW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Intelligent Dodge System, rear cross traffic alert + brake, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, emergency lane keeping assist, lane center keeping assist, blind spot detection, and lane change assistance. It also has fully automatic parking assist, auto reversing assistance, full-speed adaptive cruise control and traffic jam assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, and a 360 degree view camera.

Available in two variants, DHT Supreme is offered at an introductory price at P1,883,000 while the DHT Max is priced at P1,788,000.

For the young, this subcompact SUV is available in two powertrain variants: with an internal combustion engine (ICE) or hybrid. The ICE variant is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter gasoline engine which puts out 141-Hp with 220-Nm of torque mated to a seven-speed wet dual clutch transmission, while the hybrid variant has a 1.5-liter gasoline engine mated to a 154-Hp dedicated hybrid transmission, puting out a combined
186-Hp with 375-Nm of torque.

It also has GWM's global High Intelligence Modular Architecture and Level 2 Autonomous Driving System, along with GWM’s intelligent drive and safety suite which includes All Scenario Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collission Warning (FCW), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), rear cross traffic alert + brake, blind spot detection, lane change assistance, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, emergency lane keeping assist and lane center keeping. Its also equipped with full-speed adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and a 360 degree camera.

It’s available in four variants with the following introductory prices. The HEV DHT Supreme is priced at P1,588,000, the DCT Supreme is priced at P1,248,000, the DCT Max is priced at P1,128,000, and the DCT Plus is P998,000.

The GWM Cannon, China’s largest-selling pickup for the last 25 years, commits to give its Pinoy customers both toughness and luxury in one package. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter diesel engine which puts out 161-Hp with 400-Nm of torque, mated to either an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

The top variant has full time 4WD with a Borg-Warner torque on demand transfer case and an electronic rear axle differential lock. It has Sport, Standard, Eco and 4L drive modes. The interior boasts of luxury appointments like electronically adjustable diamond pattern stitched leather seats, leather wrapped tilt/telescopic adjustable steering wheel, electronic power steering and a nine-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto to name a few. it’s equipped with the standard traction control, anti-lock braking system, brake assist, electronic stability control, hill descent control, hill start assist control and roll movement intervention. It also has adaptive cruise control with intelligent cruise assistance and advanced safety features like automatic emergency braking, cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane center keeping assist, lane keeping assist, lane change assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and overspeed alarm.

The GWM Cannon will be available in three variants with 4x4 and 4x2 subvariants, with introductory prices starting at P998,000 (4x2) and a top variant at P1,498,000 (4x4).
