DPWH completes Nueva Vizcaya public market, boosts small scale entrepreneurs

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) stated that the construction of a public market in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya has provided a huge support to small and independent businesses in the area.

DPWH Region 2 Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel noted that the P15-million public market building now caters to the needs of the community for a variety of produce such as meat, fish, dairy products, baked goods, coffee, spices and various domestic specialties.
He bared that the market building also has amenities like modern restrooms, ample parking spaces, and a spacious area for vendors and customers.
Alconcel added that the public market also has a designated area for dining and communal seating, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for customers.
DPWH Nueva Vizcaya 1st District Engineer Marifel T. Andes revealed that “the new market has encouraged increase in independent businesses and created job opportunities needed to boost the local economy.’’
