Bulacan police arrested a total of 39 individuals during the third day of anti-criminality operations in the city on Thursday, April 20.
Police said a total of 19 drug personalities, 12 wanted persons, seven illegal gamblers, and a lawbreaker, were apprehended on the third day of Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Unit (SACLEO).
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said the 19 drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Pandi, Bocaue, Obando, Meycauayan, City of San Jose del Monte, Calumpit, Malolos together with Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Confiscated were 45 sachets of suspected shabu, a sachet of suspected marijuana, an improvised aluminum tooter, and buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, the 12 persons wanted by law for crimes of rape, robbery, slight physical injuries, grave oral defamation, violation of Republic Act of 2003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), violation of Republic Act 11313 or Safe Spaces Act, and violation of BP 22, were arrested in manhunt operations by the tracker teams of Bulacan First Provincial Mobile Force Company, Meycauayan, Plaridel, CSJDM, Bulakan, Guiguinto, Obando, and Calumpit police.
All suspects are presently under the custody of the arresting units for filing of charges.
Meanwhile, some illegal gamblers were arrested in separate anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by operatives of Malolos City and Baliwag City police.
The arrested suspects were caught in the act of playing and betting in a card bet game “Tong-its” and “Cara y Cruz”. Confiscated were set of playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
Appropriate criminal complaints against all the arrested suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.
On the other hand, a search warrant was implemented by San Ildefonso police together with Bulacan Second Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFB) 3, and Bulacan Provincial Explosive Ordinance and Canine Unit (PECU) for violation of illegal possession of firearms (RA 10591) that transpired at about 12:00 noon at Brgy. Alagao, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
The arrested suspect was identified as Dennise Herrera, a farmer. Confiscated pieces of evidence include a .38-caliber revolver without trademark and 10 pieces of live ammunition, and a hand grenade. The procedure was done in the presence of his immediate family and witnesses.
Col. Arnendo said the Bulacan PNP has intensified its operations against criminality to maintain public safety in the province.
