He took to Twitter to express his excitement to watch the Filipino adaptation of the Japanese anime that had captured fans all over the world.
“Seeing the enthusiastic reception towards the cinematic release of Voltes V: Legacy has made me even more excited to watch it! So ready to take a trip down memory lane with the super electromagnetic powers of Voltes V. Let’s volt in!,” he wrote, using the rallying call of the “Voltes V” members.
“Voltes V: Legacy” is a Filipino adaptation of the hit Japanese anime “Chodenji Machine Voltes V,” where the members of “Voltes V” emerged as the Earth’s final hope against the Boazanians.
The Filipino adaptation stars Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Raphael Landicho as Little Jon Armstrong, and Matt Lozano as Big Bert Armstrong in their adventures to defend the Earth.
Directed by Mark Reyes, he took pride on it being 100 percent Filipino made since all the cast, production staff, and videographics team are Filipinos.
In a recent report, the director shared that the videographics team alone has 250 members, similar to that of the popular Marvel and Star Wars series.
