CEBU CITY -- Board passers in Lapu-Lapu City received cash incentives from the city government.
Lapu-Lapu Mayor Junard Chan on Thursday, April 20, led the distribution of cash rewards to 150 board passers from Lapu-Lapu.
Each board passer got P5,000 while a topnotcher received a whopping P100,000.
Receiving P100,000 was Daryl Ferrer Abapo, who ranked number one in the recent Naval Architect Licensure Examination.
Abapo is a graduate of University of Cebu.
Chan said that the city has already allocated funds for Oponganons who will pass licensure examinations.
The mayor said he is happy with the achievement of the successful examinees as ‘their success is also a success of the city.’
“Congratulations to all the board passers. Continue to work hard for a better future. Hopefully, we will have more board passers this year,” said Chan.
