DepEd supervisor shot dead in Bohol

CEBU CITY – A Department of Education (DepEd) supervisor was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Barangay Lapacan Sur, Inabanga town, Bohol province, on Thursday, April 20. Police identified the fatality as Noel Duavis, a resident of Barangay Cangawa, Buenavista, Bohol. The attack happened at around 1:40 p.m. Initial investigation conducted by the Inabanga police showed that the victim was driving a white Toyota Wigo car when two motorcycle-riding men drove beside him and fired shots. Police said the gunmen wore bonnets and black jackets. The bloodied victim was still inside the vehicle when responding policemen arrived. The victim was brought to the Francisco Dagohoy Hospital where he was declared dead. The incident will be investigated further to possibly identify the assailants and determine the motive of the killing.
