Contrary to popular medical opinions that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has another take based on his daily routine.
The Chief Executive has a lot on his plate figuratively, but that doesn’t translate to his breakfast meals.
One would think that someone as busy as the President would fuel himself with a heavy breakfast, but Marcos revealed in his latest vlog that he usually doesn’t eat breakfast at all.
“Kadalasan, ako’y nagfa-fast. Hindi ako kumakain ng almusal. Pagkatapos ko kumain ng gabi, hindi na ako kumakain hanggang lunch time na, parang ‘yun ang fast ko (Usually, I fast. I don’t eat breakfast. After I ate at night, I don’t eat anymore until lunch time, that’s like my fast),” he said.
While many believe breakfast gives people a boost of energy to start the day right, the President shared that skipping breakfast may have helped his health.
“Nasanay na rin ako sa ganyan routine kaya ang aking palagay nakakatulong ‘yan sa pagpatibay ng katawan (I got used to that, so that’s why I think it helps strengthen my body),” Marcos added.
The President addressed an unnamed kid who he said recently wrote him to ask about his daily routine.
“Sa batang sumulat sa atin kamakailan at nagtanong kung ano ang ating ginagawa sa araw-araw, andito na sa vlog ang kasagutang iyong hinihintay (To the kid who recently wrote to me to ask what we are doing every day, you will find the answer in this vlog),” he said.
Marcos also shared that his day starts at 6:30 a.m., when he would first check his celphone for new messages and issues that need attention.
He also said this allows him to check his agenda for the day.
