Parañaque Mayor Olivarez holds talks with Meralco, Maynilad, BFP officials on city issues
Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez conducted a meeting with representatives of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), Maynilad, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Thursday, March 30, to discuss and address the problems encountered by residents concerning continues water service interruptions, power outages and fire incidents in the city.
During the meeting, Olivarez stressed that the city government wanted the three concerned agencies to always be ready in serving the city residents.
Olivarez requested Maynilad to serve residents with potable water by deploying water trucks and stationary water tanks, especially in areas affected by prolonged water service interruptions.
For the BFP, the mayor asked the bureau to stay alert and immediately respond once a fire incident has been reported to them to avoid casualties and any further damages to properties.
Olivarez also told BFP officials to ensure that all fire hydrants located in the city had enough water supply so they can be readily used during fire incidents.
For the part of Meralco, Olivarez requested them to disseminate information on their scheduled power supply outage as early as possible in order for residents to prepare before its implementation.
