Currently part of the streaming platform's top chart, the Filipino-Irish psychological thriller film directed by Lorcan Finnegan features a stellar cast led by Eva Green, Mark Strong, and Cebuana actress Chai Fonacier. Its story revolves around Christine (Eva Green), an English childrenswear designer who got a mysterious illness. Then comes Diana (Chai Fonacier), a Filipino housekeeper and nanny who is helping her employer with her condition by using “traditional folk healing to reveal a horrifying truth.” Manila Bulletin Lifestyle arts and culture columnist Rica Arevalo described the film as a combination of “classic horror styles with social commentary on colonialism, consumer culture, and exploitation. She also praised Foncier’s performance in the film saying her character “is effective as she gives the domestic setting of Eva’s family a very disturbing vibe.
