Globe Stores, EasyHubs assist SIM registration

Globe Stores and Easy Hubs across the country are now assisting customers to register their SIMs as the April 26, 2023 deadline looms.
A total of 147 Globe stores and 25 Easy Hubs nationwide are open to mobile and broadband customers who might need help registering their SIMs, announced Cleo Santos, Globe Channel Marketing Group Head on Monday, April 3.
So far, the telco has logged 23.48 million SIM registrations as of April 2, as opposed to the 86.7 million SIM under its network. "We are pleased to see a steady increase in registered subscribers. However, we understand that some of our customers may still need assistance " she noted.
The initiative is on top of 24/7 registration via Globe’s SIM registration website, https://new.globe.com.ph/simreg, and the GlobeOne app.
Earlier Globe launched a National SIM Registration Week to roll out over 500 SIM Registration Assistance Desks yhroughout the archipelago, including remote areas and places known to have a high concentration of basic phone users. The government believes that the SIM Registration Act will curb scams and cybercrime and unregistered SIMs will be deactivated after the April 26 deadline. To facilitate the registration of customers, especially in remote areas, Globe participated in several rounds of on-ground SIM Registration Assistance led by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC).
The telco also partnered with local government units, groceries, and malls in putting up assisted registration booths in more than 100 sites nationwide, and held on-site assistance in major festivals.
