Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon under heightened alert for 'Semana'

The Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon and its stations, sub-stations, and operational control units have been placed on heightened alert  for the Holy Week and “summer” vacation thereafter. Its Deployable Response Group (DRG) has been ordered to undertake proactive measures pursuant to the Department of Transportation’s “Oplan: Biyaheng Ayos: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2023.” This will ensure the orderly operation of sea transport facilities, safe and convenient travel of the seafaring public, and safety and security of resort visitors. Every unit in the district, together with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) and all concerned government agencies, has established the DOTr Malasakit Help Desk in all ports, harbors, and appropriate areas where a high influx of passengers is expected.
