The Caloocan City government announced on Sunday, April 2, that it launched the “Alalay sa Manlalakbay: Oplan Semana Santa” program to ensure safety and effectively provide assistance to the public during the Holy Week.
"Pinaigting natin ang preparasyon para sa paggunita ng Semana Santa sa lungsod ng Caloocan. Sa pangunguna ng Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD) naglagay tayo ng mga help desk na aalalay sa ating mga kababayan sa Semana Santa. Katuwang din po natin ang Caloocan City Police Station sa pagbibigay ng seguridad sa mga kababayan nating motorista at mananampalataya (We have intensified preparations for the commemoration of Holy Week in the city of Caloocan. Under the leadership of the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD), we have set up help desks to support our fellow residents during Holy Week. The Caloocan City Police Station is also our partner in providing security to our fellow motorists and believers)," Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said.
Malapitan said that the assistance and information desks will be open in different areas in the city from April 3-9.
The mayor added that the local government is prepared to provide guidance, answer queries, and attend to the needs of motorists and faithfuls who will partake in various activities on the said week.

Caloocan City Administrator Engrineer Aurora Ciego reminded the public to also save the city’s Alert and Monitoring Operation Center hotline (02) 888-25664 (ALONG) for immediate assistance in emergency situations.
"Hiling po natin ang isang payapa, ligtas, at taimtim na paggunita ng Mahal na Araw para sa lahat (We hope for a peaceful, safe, and solemn commemoration of Holy Week for everyone)." Malapitan said.
