Cedric Escobar may be a new name to the OPM scene, but he's one of the best-rising artists to watch out for this year.

Becoming the newest artist under PolyEast Records, the 23-year-old singer enters the music scene with his first single, 'Di na Ba.'

Inspired by Cedric's anecdote of his love life, the song was composed by his mentor and Introvoy's drummer, Paco Arespacochaga.

During his press conference at the 12 Monkeys Music Hall & Pub in Pasig City last March 21, Cedric shared his experience working with Paco.

'Nung nilatag niya po sa akin yung idea nung song, medyo hindi po ako masyadong okay, kasi the song that I write is Rnb, so parang we were arguing po from the beggining, pero he sees something else in my voice, so I took a leap of faith, and because of that po, I appreciate kuya paco for showing me what I can do as an artist,' Cedric mentioned.

Being part of Cedric's journey, Paco mentioned what he liked about working with Cedric.

'Nirespeto niya yung genre na binigay ko sa kanya and to me that's important, and kaya nagcommit ako sa kanya na 'I'll help you, if you really want to do this, let's work together and I'll help you, it was a two year journey but it was all worth it," Paco said.
