PDEA seeks citizens' help to attain drug-cleared Pangasinan
DAGUPAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Pangasinan has urged residents to be more vigilant and report any suspicious moves and illegal drug trade to attain a drug-free community.
PDEA-Pangasinan believed that the citizens’ participation by means of providing the law enforcers with information about illegal drug activities in their area will boost the anti-illegal drug campaign of the government in general and lead to a drug-free Pangasinan in particular.
The informants' details will be treated with utmost confidentiality to ensure their security, PDEA said.
All information on suspected illegal drug activities in their community will be subjected to verification and will be acted upon by the agents of PDEA.
Based on the barangay drug clearing report of PDEA-Pangasinan, 1,272 out of 1,364 barangays in Pangasinan are drug-affected.
But with the concerted effort of the community and the police, 87 percent or 1,104 barangays have already been declared drug-cleared.
