Senator Ronald ‘’Bato’’ dela Rosa on Wednesday, April 19, decried malicious propaganda to malign him as chairman of the Senate Public Order and Dangerous Drugs Committee.

He showed a screenshot of him and Negros Oriental 3rd district Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. during Wednesday afternoon's public hearing of the March 4 assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.

The message being conveyed by the photo, according to Dela Rosa, was to show that he is not fit to conduct the public hearing.

Dela Rosa is a former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief.

He said all the Teveses’ riches from a sugar mill and other assets are not enough to bribe him.

The senator said anybody can have his or her picture taken with him.

‘’I have already made my peace,’’ he added.

Teves is being linked to the killing of Degamo and seven other people.

His whereabouts is being determined by the Dela Rosa committee. He was reported to be in South Korea.

Teves' brother, former Negros Oriental Governor Henry Pryde Teves, told Dela Rosa that he is free to check his bank account.
