Region 4A's most wanted person for statutory rape nabbed in Laguna
LAGUNA – Region 4A’s most wanted person accused of statutory rape was collared in a manhunt operation in San Pedro City on Monday, April 17.
The Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the accused as alias Kambal Liit.
He was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 170 in January for two counts of statutory rape without a recommended bail.
Alias Kambal Liit is now under the custody of the San Pedro City Police Station.
“Patunay lang na ang ating kapulisan ay patuloy na kumikilos upang makamit ang hustisya ng mga biktima ng kasong rape (This just proves that the police is working to bring justice to the victims of rape),” Laguna PPO Director Col. Randy Glenn G. Silvio said in a statement.
“Nagpapasalamat din po kami sa mga mamamayan sa pakikipagtulungan sa ating mga kapulisan dito sa lalawigan ng Laguna (We are also thankful to concerned citizens for their coordination with the police here in Laguna).”
