OVP opens a Batangas office for social and medical services

Access to social and medical services provided by the Office of the Vice President (OVP) may now easily be reached by Filipinos in need from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (Calabarzon) region.

This came after the office of Vice President Sara Duterte opened a Public Assistance Division Extension Office in Lipa, Batangas on Tuesday, April 18.
The newly opened OVP office is located at the LLG Building, Baseview Commercial Area, Barangay Sico in Lipa City.
A statement from the OVP said it was aimed at having a “forward” office for the Medical and Burial (MAB) assistance being offered by its central office in Mandaluyong City.
“The OVP hopes to further expand its reach in terms of offering MAB support to underprivileged areas in the Calabarzon region,” it said.
As of April 13, the OVP’s Public Assistance Division has already processed a total of P368,278,987.22 for the medical and burial assistance program.
A total of P323,576,362.97 and P44,702,624.25 have already been processed for medical aid and burial assistance, respectively, with a total of 39,673 recipients served through the OVP Central Office and the seven satellite offices around the country.
According to the OVP, these satellite offices in the cities of Bacolod, Dagupan, Cebu, Davao, Tandag, Tacloban, and Zamboanga were established to ensure that its services will “not only be concentrated in the National Capital Region but will also reach other areas in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.”
The OVP also has a total of 343 partners composed of public and private hospitals, and dialysis centers nationwide.
