ILOILO CITY – As part of this year’s “Balikatan” military exercises, the 3rd Infantry Division (ID) of the Philippine Army and the United States Armed Forces conducted a health training in Antique province.

The Cooperative Health Engagement (CHE) team of the 3rd ID and the Medical Inter-operability Training (MIT) team of the US Army conducted psychological first aid training for barangay health workers (BHWs) in 48 barangays in Sibalom. This was held with assistance from the 61st Infantry Battalion (IB) and 3rd Civil-Military Operations Battalion. A seminar for common oral diseases and oral hygiene and a basic life support training for 57 persons were also held. Antique hosted the amphibious landing exercise of the Balikatan in 2016.
