Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan has designated Joel F. Limpengco as officer-in-charge of the Office of the Assistant Regional Director in Metro Manila.
Prior to his new designation, Limpengco was District Engineer of the DPWH Batangas 1st District Engineering Office (Region 4-A) before assuming his post vacated by Engr. Juby B. Cordon who has been reassigned as OIC Region 11 regional director.
Limpengco, a government civil engineer for 34 years, finished his Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Honorary Doctoral (Honoris Causa) at the Brethren Evangelical School of Theology International on Feb. , 2021.
He finished his Master of Management Major in Development Management degree from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, Laguna in 2001, and completed his BS Civil Engineering degree at the Far Eastern University in 1984.
Limpengco became District Engineer of Batangas 1st District Engineering Office in 2017 and DPWH Laguna II District Engineering Office from 2015 to 2017, where he started his career as Civil Engineering Aide II in 1988.
Before going into government service, he worked as Quality Control Technician/Inspector at the American Wires and Cables Company in Bicutan, Metro Manila from 1987 to 1988, a Junior Civil Engineer at KONSULTA Incorporated Architects and Engineers in Pasay City from 1985 to 1986 and as Field Supervisor at RACH Contractors in Sta. Cruz Laguna from 1984 to 1985.
“To have been assigned as Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Regional Director is a new challenge for me, and I commit to deliver the performance and services expected of me the best way I can,” Limpengco stated.
