44 victims of human trafficking rescued, six suspects nabbed in Angeles City KTV bar


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Authorities arrested six suspects allegedly involved in human trafficking and rescued 44 female workers, including a minor, during an entrapment operation in Angeles City, on Monday, April 17.

The operation was conducted by the local police and other concerned agencies here after a reliable informant revealed that two Korean nationals who own and manage the IM KTV Bar in Barangay Pampang, Angeles City were sexually exploiting their employees, some of them were minors.

During the entrapment operation, the policemen acting as customers handed down P3,000 to one of the suspects identified as Jayson Lancangan who in turn remitted the money to the two Koreans identified as Matt Lee and Alex Han.

At this instance, the raiders readily arrested the two Koreans and the other suspects, including Aileen Pineda, Jennifer Mendoza, and Preciosa Mahusay who allegedly recruited the victims.

The police are also hunting a certain Marriage Han, who is said to be the registered owner of M KTV BAR.

Charges for violations of RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003) as amended by RA 10364 and RA 7610 are being readied against the suspects.
