294 suspects arrested in QCPD's weeklong anti-criminality ops


The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) announced on Tuesday, April 18, the arrest of 294 suspects in the weeklong anti-criminality operations in Quezon City.

The Weeklong One Time Big Time (OTBT) operations were conducted from April 10 to April 16 including implementation of search warrants, buy-bust operations, and other special police interventions.

QCPD said a total of 53 anti-illegal drug operations were launched, which resulted in the arrest of 96 suspects and confiscations of 639.3 grams of alleged shabu and 104 grams alleged marijuana worth P4,359,720.

A total of 68 wanted persons were arrested, 37 of them were listed as most wanted.

"QCPD has also been consistent in its anti-criminality operations to keep the entire Quezon City safe and secure. To achieve this, police visibility, foot, bike and mobile patrol were conducted 24/7 especially in areas that are prone to crimes," the police reported.

The police force also completed 36 operations leading to the arrest of 112 gamblers and confiscation of P14,210 worth of bet money.

It also also completed 17 operations against illegal firearms, which resulted in the arrest of 18 suspects and recovery of 18 firearms.

QCPD Director Brigadier Gen. Nicolas Torre III expressed his gratitude to operatives for their continuous campaign against all forms of criminality.
