“I hope this will become an annual event. It’s very important to promote Bohol,” said Aumentado.

“There are a lot of activities here but having this kind of event will give a boost in our tourism. We are happy that the private sector is initiating this kind of an event,” the governor added.

The province of Bohol hosted the 1st Bohol Loop Dive Expo 2023 on Sunday where underwater photographers took part to capture the province’s rich marine life.

Aumentado said the province supported the holding of the expo to help in the tourism recovery efforts.

“We are very happy with this event. It’s a first-time experience for us having this kind of event. It will attract more tourists, especially those who are diving enthusiasts,” Aumentado said.

Carrying a theme “Be Part of My World: Defying Limits Underwater Discoveries,” the event was spearheaded by the Panglao Association of Dive Operators led by its president Ivy Kong, the Department of Tourism, and Dive 7.

At least 15 scuba divers from China, Taiwan, Korea, and Philippines took part in the event.

The event aims to showcase the province’s abundance of marine life.

At least 12 municipalities participated in the event. These municipalities are known top diving sites in the province.

Aumentado credited the private stakeholders who helped organize the event and assured that the province will support similar events in the future.
