Unattended cellphone sparks fire in Pangasinan

LAOAC, Pangasinan â€“ An unattended cellphone sparked a fire that hit a house in Zone 2, Barangay Nanbagatan, this town, on Sunday, April 16. Police said the fire at the residence of Erminia Ramos Daus, 36, started at around 12:36 a.m. The fire spread quickly because the house was made of light materials. Responding Bureau of Fire Protection personnel declared fire out at 12:50 a.m. Nobody was killed or injured in the fire. According to the police, the fire was caused by a cellphone that exploded while it was being charged unattended.
