Toward the last quarter of 2022, Prada was declared the hottest fashion brand by Lyst, a fashion technology company and premium shopping app. According to its index report, the Milan-based fashion house gained an increase in “searches on and off platform, product views, and sales,” according to the shoppers’ behavior on the app.

Lyst’s report was based on the activity of the 200 million people using its platform, as well as social media mentions, activity, and engagement statistics worldwide in the span of three months. Prada, during that time, launched its first fine jewelry collection made of recycled gold, named social media personality Charli D’Amelio the face of Prada Linea Rossa fall-winter 2022, and appointed Andrea Guerra appointed as CEO of Prada Group. The luxury label’s handbags are also among the top searched pieces of 2022 by Millennials, as per the [2022 Ultra-Luxury Resale Report](https://mb.com.ph/2023/1/10/here-are-the-top-searched-luxury-handbag-brands-by-different-age-groups).
Taking the second spot was Gucci. Lyst saw Alessandro Michele leaving the brand’s creative director post and its works in the metaverse were some of the leading factors that helped it get the number two ranking. Following the two Italian fashion houses were Moncler, Miumiu, and Valentino. While completing its top 10 list were Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and Saint Laurent.
The latest index report also presented Balenciaga dropping seven spots, perhaps because of the [controversies](https://mb.com.ph/2022/12/1/it-looks-like-the-drama-about-balenciagas-controversial-campaigns-is-not-over-yet) surrounding the brand in the past year.
When it comes to the hottest pieces, Lyst declared Saint Laurent’s Icare bag as the hottest in the last quarter with a 46 percent rise in web searches. Also part of the list were Prada’s logo slingback shoes, Dr. Martens’ Leonore Chelsea boot, Bottega Veneta’s Sardine bag, and Miu Miu’s logo-patch satin briefs, among others.
