Foreman collared for stealing P700,000 in QC


A man who was hired as a foremen at a renovation site was arrested for stealing over P700,000 cash from the gas company he was working for in Quezon City on Sunday, April 16.

The Quezon City Police District identified the suspect as Fredie Dinopol, 43, of Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City.

Police said that at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, the suspect broke into the gas company’s sales office along Quirino Highway, in Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City. 

He destroyed the padlock of the company’s night safety deposit box using a steel hammer and chisel and took the P774,428 company sales.

The suspect tried to escape but he was caught by the cashier who reported the incident to their supervisor. 

They sought assistance from the QCPD Novaliches Station which led to Dinopol’s arrest. 

Operatives recovered the P774,428 cash and the tools used by the suspect. 

Dinopol will be charged for robbery, the QCPD said.
