Easterlies to bring partly cloudy weather, isolated rain showers across PH
The easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean may continue to bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms across the archipelago in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday, April 17.
Although the hot and humid weather may continue, PAGASA advised the public to remain vigilant as there can be flooding or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusts of wind, and sometimes hail, often accompany severe thunderstorms.
PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said there is a slim chance of tropical cyclone development in the next few days.
Moreover, no gale warning is currently raised over any of the country’s seaboards, as the coastal waters will be light to moderate throughout the archipelago in the next 24 hours.
PAGASA said small boats and other sea vessels are safe to sail.
