DSWD's AICS Step 1 registration moves back to Batasan office on April 24
The Step 1 processing of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program of the DSWD Central Office will return to the main office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City starting April 24.
The first step involves the initial review of documentary requirements and provision of schedule to clients for further assessment.
Currently, the said primary process is being done at the QC-X Building of the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.
The reception of clients at the DSWD Cental Office starting April 24 is from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Monday to Friday.
The DSWD Central Office advised its AICS Program clients to ensure that documents are complete and up-to-date.
Last March 13, the DSWD Central Office established its AICS Step 1 processing temporary site at the Quezon Memorial Circle while the processing area at its Batasan main office is being renovated.
The DSWD said the renovation was meant to provide a more pleasant and safe environment for clients seeking medical, hospitalization, burial, and transportation assistance, among others.
AICS serves as a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crises such as the illness or death of a family member, natural and man-made disasters, and other crisis situations.
