CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – An active high-ranking Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) officer and two former CTG members voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Zambales, report said Sunday, April 16.
Police Col. Ricardo Pangan, acting director of the Zambales Police Provincial Office, said that personnel of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company-Zambales and other concerned police units facilitated the voluntary surrender of “Ka Lanta.”
Ka Lanta was an active member of the CTG where he was an intelligence officer.
“Ka Toyo,” former member of CTG, and “Ka Gomer,” a former underground mass organization member, both surrendered also to the 2nd PMFC Zambales.
They also turned over a 5.56 improvised pistol, rifle grenade, and improvised shotgun.
A third former rebel who decided to leave an armed struggle was “Ka Jhadie,” who used to be an organizer and coordinator of Gabriela and Anakpawis.
Ka Jhadie’s surrender was facilitated by the Olongapo City Mobile Force Company.
Reports said that Ka Jhadie denounced the CPP-NPA before the personnel of Olongapo City Mobile Force Company and other concerned police units.
