Suspect in slay try on police officer in Basilan nabbed

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The suspect in the shooting of a Basilan-based policeman was arrested on Saturday, April 15, in Lamitan City, Basilan. The suspect was identified as Said Anjalin, who was reportedly arrested inside the house of a certain Walid Abyarol in Pamaran Village in Barangay Malinis. The suspect, who was wounded, was brought to a hospital for treatment. Anjalin was the suspect in a shooting incident on Thursday, April 13, involving Police Patrolman Faisal Isah Alih, a policeman assigned at Tabuan Lasa Municipal Police Station. Alih was at his house in Barangay Matatag in Lamitan City when Anjalin reportedly arrived and shot him. Anjalin missed, prompting Alih to fire back and hit him.
