In a series of tweets that tagged the Chief Executive, Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro Marcos, and Senator Imee Marcos, the envoy expressed his delight at having visited the cultural and heritage sites in the province. On his first day in the province, Kell posted photos of his “adventure in Ilocos Norte.” “Visited Malacañang of the North and its fascinating view overlooking #Paoay Lake. Napintas na buya! Thrilled to see more of the region #IlocosNorteImIN @TourismPHL @Ilocos\_Norte @bongbongmarcos @sandromarcos7 @SenImeeMarcos,” he wrote on Sunday, April 16. The ambassador shared some of his knowledge about cultural sites, mentioning that the “architectural marvel” is a Philippine Cultural Treasure and a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site that has stood strong for over three centuries. “Delighted to visit Sitio Remedios, a place that honours the timeless beauty of #Ilocano balay houses. Happy to have viewed the new art installations and to have experienced the warm sea breeze at this serene location,” Kell posted. The envoy also said that he enjoyed the famous Ilocos empanadas when he “took a pause.” He posted photos of him trying to make the original Batac empanadas from scratch with a certain Lola Gloria "Glory" Cocson.
