Guanzon has message for both Bar exam passers and non-passers

P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon understood the two sides of the headline-grabbing release of the results of the Bar examinations--the happy, euphoric side of the students who passed; and the sad, disheartening side of those who didn't. That's why Guazon practically had separate messages for each faction on Twitter last Friday, April 14, when the results were first announced. "Congratulations to our new lawyers ! To those who did not pass, don't be disciuraged (sic)," tweeted the former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner, as if to tell the non-passers that it's not the end of the world. Last Friday, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Philippines announces that 3,992 out of 9,183--or 43.47 percent--successfully passed the November 2022 Bar examinations or the licensure exams for Lawyers. "How proud must be the parents of our new lawyers . For their sacrifice, it is they who deserve to be honored today," Guanzon said, alluding to the family of the Bar passers. In a separate tweet, Guazon hailed the Bar passage of Mark Emocling, which she dubbed the "first blind lawyer of the Philippines". The Komunidad ng Pamilya Pasyente at Persons with Disabilities, also known as the P3PWD Party-lst, is a pro-PWD organization seeking party-list representation in the House of Representatives.
