4 drug suspects nabbed, P427,000 shabu seized in Surigao, Agusan

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-13 arrested four drug personalities and seized suspected shabu worth P427,000 in Surigao and Agusan on Friday, April 14. Suspects have been charged for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said. Labra commended the operating units for successful operations. “I commend our operating units for this another high time accomplishment in collaboration with the PDEA,” he said. Battling illegal drugs is one of our thrusts under the program D.A.D.D.I. highlighting strengthened war on drugs,” he added. “As long as there are those who sell and use illegal drugs, our fight continues without letup until the last one falls." Meanwhile, nine newly promoted nine police majors received their rank as police lieutenant colonels during a donning ceremony here on Thursday, April 13. Jose B. Los Baños, Samson B. Pascual, Peter Paul P. Manatad, Felix P. Gonzales Jr., Jolet T. Guevara, Roderick T. Maranas, Rene T. Sarento, Lady A. Saballegue, and Nira B. Perocho were promoted effective April 11, 2023, pursuant to General Orders No. 1399, 1400, and 1403. Labra congratulated the newly promoted police officers and encouraged them to remain faithful to their sworn duties. “Make this promotion an inspiration to remain steadfast and dedicated to serving and protecting our communities. A good reputation is a distinct legacy we can leave to our family, organization, and the people,” Labra said.
