Vendor yields P102,000 shabu in Negros buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a vendor in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Oringao, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Friday, April 14.

The suspect was identified as Angie Cortez, 45, of Barangay Oringao. Confiscated from her were 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000, the P600 marked money, and drug paraphernalia. Cortez is a street-level individual, police said. Police Lt. Col. John Joel Batusbatusan, Kabankalan police chief, said the suspect was arrested for drug peddling in 2016. She was released from jail after she applied for probation, he added.
