Police net P960,000 of marijuana in Valenzuela City buy-bust

Operatives of the Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) seized P960,000 worth of suspected marijuana in a buy-bust operation in the city on Saturday, April 15. Col. Salvador Destura, VCPS chief, identified the suspect as Jao Co, 26, a resident of Barangay Dalandanan, Valenzuela City. VCPS - Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) Head Cpt. Joel Madregalejo led the buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect at about 1:10 a.m. in front of the covered court in Barangay Dalandanan. Recovered from the suspect were eight pieces of transparent plastic-wrapped bricks of suspected marijuana. Police said the suspect will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002."
