DAGUPAN CITY – A law graduate from San Jacinto, Pangasinan placed second in the 2022 Bar examinations.
Pangasinan Rep. Christopher de Venecia congratulated University of the Philippines College of Law Class of 2022 graduate Erickson C. Mariñas who obtained an 88.76 percent rating in the exam.
"Muli, congratulations at proud na proud ang buong Kwatro Distrito sa 'yo, Atty. Mariñas (Congratulations and the fourth district is very proud of you, Atty. Mariñas),” De Venecia said in a Facebook post.
De Venecia also congratulated this year’s other Bar passers.
The Supreme Court said 3,992 out of 9,183 examinees hurdled the Bar examinations in November last year for a passing rate of 43.47 percent.
Czar Matthew Gerard Torres of the University of the Philippines was No. 1 with an 88.80 percent rating, followed by Mariñas, and UP alums Christiane Claire Cregencia (87.96 percent), Andrea Jasmine Yu (87.77 percent), and Kim Gia Gatapia (87.42 percent).
The municipality of San Jacinto is under the fourth district of Pangasinan led by De Venecia.
